In alignment with the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 and National Council for Teacher Education (NCTE) notifications, the proposed merger of Venkateswara College of Education (VCE) with Manakula Vinayagar Institute of Technology (MVIT) establishes a multidisciplinary Department of Education. This department aims to offer the 4-Year Integrated Teacher Education Programme (ITEP) as a dual-major holistic undergraduate degree program, preparing teachers for the four stages of the new school structure: Foundational, Preparatory, Middle, and Secondary (5+3+3+4).

The institution aims to offer three major undergraduate dual-degree pathways, enabling students to obtain a degree in education alongside a specialized discipline (Arts, Science, or Commerce) in 4 years, thereby saving one year compared to traditional sequential routes:

The curriculum structure integrates Liberal Disciplinary Studies, Educational Studies, Subject Pedagogies, and professional training areas. Based on NCTE norms for ITEP streams, the subject distributions across disciplines include:
