The Governing Body of Venkateswara College of Education is made up of 15 people approved by the Executive Council. It includes two teachers from the university nominated by the Executive Council, and three representatives of the teaching staff, one of whom is the Principal of the college.

Special Programmes
The Governing Body/Advisory Committee makes necessary arrangements to fulfill all the conditions and recommendations made by the affiliating University.
Venkateswara College of Education has produced over a thousand B.Ed graduates who are now teachers in Pondicherry. NCTE norms say that to be eligible for teacher appointment in India, you must pass the Teacher Eligibility Test (TET). This test ensures that teachers meet national standards. The Central Board of Secondary Education conducts the CTET on behalf of the Ministry of Human Resource Development.
The college is proposing to offer intensive coaching for CTET to the current second year batch of B.Ed students during the vacation. The coaching will be for three months and will be facilitated by the regular faculties of the college. This will help students to get government jobs as teachers and also in private schools after completing their B.Ed. In addition, students will be well prepared for their four-month internship in schools in their second year of B.Ed.
Venkateswara College of Education organizes a community camp every year for students and staff to give back to the community. This helps students and staff to become active in the community and make a positive impact on society. It also provides benefits for everyone involved, such as improved mental health, social skills, and cognitive abilities.
Venkateswara College of Education organizes a community camp where students and staff clean schools, temples, and primary health centers in the Madagadipet area. They also teach school children about cleanliness and personal hygiene.
In 2014-15, students and staff from Venkateswara College of Education conducted an eradication of illiteracy project in two villages in Villupuram district. They screened for children and adults who could not read or write Tamil, and then provided them with training in reading and writing their names.
Career guidance and motivation programs are conducted periodically for plus two students in Cuddalore and Villupuram districts by Sri Manakula Vinayaga Educational Trust. Eminent personalities throw light on various career options available to plus two students every year. Students from many villages in and around these districts benefit from this and get their queries answered.
The Red Ribbon Club at Venkateswara College of Education has been conducting awareness programs about HIV/AIDS and blood donation since 2010. They also organize women’s wellness programs to promote overall women’s health and hygiene.
A few years ago, Venkateswara College of Education organized a three-day workshop to teach basic artisan skills to students and unemployed youths in the area. An expert team from Madras Museum volunteered to teach the participants how to use materials like clay, plaster of paris, and plasticine to create art.
Venkateswara College of Education has always been contributing to the society in whatever way it can, and it takes pride in doing so.
